| November 29, 2004 | Letters from the First Grade A few weeks ago, Riley's Dad had the opportunity to share "God's Perfect Child" with Mrs. Worthen's First Grade Class at Fulbright Elementary School. In return, they were kind enough to write letters to Riley's family. They are a must read! |
| November 16, 2004 | Respite Care Event Scheduled for December 11th Our next respite care event has been scheduled for December 11th. As is the norm, the event will run from 9AM until 1PM. You can find the specifics, on our Respite Care page. Registration will be open from December 1st through December 8th. |
| November 10, 2004 | Golf Tournament Sponsors Coming In! We've been working to line up sponsors for the 2005 Riley's Warriors Golf Classic and the response has been great so far. But we still have plenty of sponsorships available. If you can help with either a sponsorship or a team, please let us know. Please give this effort your consideration, as it will enable us to help the families of children with special needs. |
| October 15, 2004 | Planning for Riley's Warriors Golf Classic Underway Plans are in the works for a golf tournament next spring to benefit Riley's Warriors. Our target date is currently April 18, 2005, so please mark that date and make plans to join us. You can find more information about the tournament via the Golf link at left. | September 15, 2004 | Respite Care Event for September 25th is Cancelled It is with great regret that we report that we've had to cancel the respite care event previously scheduled for September 25th due to scheduling conflicts. Our next scheduled event is November 6th, but if we are able to reschedule the cancelled event, we'll post it here and also post it to our e-mail list. |
| September 9, 2004 | Riley's Warriors Kicks off 2004 Fundraising Effort We have kicked off our first fundraising drive since incorporation. Our Vice Chairman, Michael Keck, sent out a letter to all of our 2003 Supporters. In that letter, he laid out our plans for the next year and set our 2004 fundraising goal at $50,000. Response has been good thus far and has begun to move us toward that goal. We hope that you'll consider helping support our cause. If you do so, we pledge to make the most of every dollar that is entrusted in our care. You can donate online or mail your check. Donations to Riley's Warriors, Inc. are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. |
| June 14, 2004 | Easter Seals "Rollin' on the River" Walk/Run Set for August 28th The Easter Seals "Rollin' on the River" 5K run/2K walk it scheduled for August 28th in Little Rock's River Market district. Riley's Warriors will be a sponsor of the event again this year. You can register for the Riley's Warriors team here. Team registration is $17.00/person for adults and $8.00/person for children 12 and under. Riley's Warriors hats, t-shirts and mugs can be ordered from the Order Stuff link on this site. | June 10, 2004 | Respite Care Held on June 5th; Next Event Set for July 17th The Respite Care event on June 5th was a big success. Thanks to everyone that participated to make it possible. We cared for four special needs children and an armload of siblings. Mark your calendars for the next Respite Care event, scheduled for July 17th at the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ. Registration begins on July 2nd. |
| June 1, 2004 | Riley's Warriors Receives Charitable Organization Status We received word from the Internal Revenue Service that our application for recognition as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization has been approved. That means that donations to Riley's Warriors are now tax-deductible to contributors. |
