Specific Prayer Requests

Here are the specific things that we are praying about for Riley:
  1. That the shunt will work as designed and remain infection-free. A failure in either case would require that Riley go into the hospital for shunt revision (replacement).
  2. That the normal function of his eyes will return. Riley's eye surgery on October 10, 2000  was successful in moving his right eye to a near normal position, though the pupil in that eye is still constricted. The left eye has near-normal movement, though the left pupil is still dilated.
  3. That the movement of his right side will progress to match that of his left side. His right arm is moving more in response to ongoing physical therapy, but he still favors his left side quite dramatically. His right leg has proven to be almost as weak as his right hand.
